Let’s Polka

I love polka-dots! ^_^ They make me so happy; whether they are in this season or out the next, I will always be wearing them – you can’t stop me. I did a little exploring with friend and photographer, Surge, in DTLA and romped around in what is probably my favorite outfit to date! It’s no secret that I have a weakness for high waisted shorts & crop tops; pairing the feminine pinks with my combat boots made for my favorite flirty/fierce kind of ensemble.

My old school Dear Creatures shorts are the most amazing creation. They have detachable suspender-like straps for two different looks and the pockets are lined with (guess what?!) polka-dot fabric! What more could you ask for?! Dear Creatures is definitely one of my favorite brands, the vintage inspired pieces speak to my fashiony soul. Check them out if you’re into looking well dressed from another era!  I’m also currently obsessed with my Eagle Eyes sunglasses that I got at the 3 Black Dot party at Comic Con San Diego this year! I mean, they fold up! They’re also super cute and eye protecty.

My philosophy with fashion, is you gotta take chances. Pair things up you wouldn’t naturally assume go together as an outfit. A lot of times, it actually does! It’s also a great way to revamp your wardrobe, without actually buying new clothes; just make new combos! So be daring and try something new, you might be pleasantly surprised.

  1. In love with these shorts and this look! So cute! Question: would you mind telling me how these shorts run in terms of size? I could only find one pair online (sadly not berry colored), and I want to make sure they’ll fit before I order them. 🙂
