Everyone’s Irish on March 17th

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner! Get your green ready and avoid those pinches! 🙂

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
Irish Blessing

Some men see things as they are and ask why. Others dream things that never were and ask why not.
George Bernard Shaw

May you always have
Walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire!

Irish Blessing

I really love dressing up for holidays, and St. Patrick’s Day is certainly no exception. I enjoy coming up with fun outfits full of green. Maybe it’s because, growing up in private schools with uniforms, it was one of the only times I actually got to pick out my outfit.  I used to even have a specific shirt I only wore on March 17th and I wore it every March 17th (so I guess I created my own annual uniform – old habits die hard). Unfortunately, said shirt is no longer with us, so I get to put a little more thought into it.

This outfit is extra Irish-y because my sweater is actually an Irish Aran sweater that I got in Ireland when I studied abroad! My friends in Ireland told me I looked like a grandpa wearing it, but I don’t care. I like it and it was a fun and useful souvenir to take home with me. 🙂

So get silly this March 17th, and wear some green and have some fun!

May the leprechauns be near you,
To spread luck along your way.
And may all the Irish angels,
Smile upon you St. Patrick’s Day.
