A review of It Cosmetics CC cream, under eye concealer, and primer.
As I posted in a recent Fridaye’s Favorites segment, I’m trying to be a more conscious consumer by buying cruelty-free products whenever given the option. Due to that new determination, I scoured the beauty products list on Cruelty Free Kitty and ordered many sample sizes of cruelty-free makeup. In a perfect world, eventually my makeup will also be vegan, because – love the skin you’re in and all that; so putting more natural ingredients on my face sounds like a good plan. But for now, enjoy as I sample through cruelty-free makeup!
Today: It Cosmetics
I ordered the CC Cream, and got free samples of their No. 50 Serum™ Anti-Aging Collagen Veil Primer and Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer – so right away, I’m loving these folks. I have been using these products for about a week now, just to give you some reviewer context. 🙂
CC Cream: They are 100% right when they say “a little bit goes a long way”. This product has amazing coverage and evens out my skin tone nicely. It has sunscreen for my paleness and I have not broken out in a nonsensical flare of dermatitis that appears thus far to have no discernible trigger – so yay! My pores are seeming a little smaller, and it says there’s an anti-aging serum in it as well. As wrinkles are starting to pop up on my inevitably aging face, I am very glad for this added feature. I’m also happy to report that there is minimal to no makeup creasing – my smile lines are pretty intense, so there’s still some, but I definitely don’t feel like my face is melting off like with some products. The packaging says that it’s the only step you need, however, I do find that my under eye circles are mightier than this product. It also didn’t cover up any blemishes incredibly well, but these are things I don’t really expect from CC creams as they’re much lighter than normal foundation. Overall, I am extremely happy with the product.
Bye Bye Under Eye: Hello newest most favorite product EVER. This stuff is miraculous! Again, a little bit goes a long way, which is fantastic and I want my sample to never run out. Where the CC Cream falls short with concealment abilities, this puppy picks up the slack and then goes the distance. It fixes my under eye situation as good as anything short of literal magic and completely covers blemishes. I don’t have too much to say other than – yes. A million times, yes.
*I’ve been setting my foundation/concealer combo with a powder, which I always do with liquid foundations, just because I feel it helps set it and stops it from rubbing off if I brush up against something.
Primer: I don’t usually use primers, because I’m lazy and cheap and don’t want to buy more stuff for my face than I have to, so I can’t really say how this compares. But it smells amazing and refreshing with a citrusy scent, and it feels more like a lotion than a greasy film (which is what the one primer I’ve ever used felt like). I’m pretty sure it does a good priming job? I’m horrible haha – it did minimize the appearance of my pores, which I know is a thing primer is suppose to do!
Oh! And they have reasonable prices that wont make you sob!
So in conclusion. It Cosmetics:
Here is a picture of my face after using all three products mentioned. Yay cruelty-free face! Two paws up for It Cosmetics 🙂 Definitely check them out.
